Under an agreement with Bavaria's palace administration, the bust went on display at the San Antonio Museum of Art. The exhibition was called “A Roman Portrait from Germany in Texas.”
The museum's director, Emily Ballew Neff, called the work with the Bavarian officials “a wonderful example of international cooperation.”
The bust stayed on view for about a year, until May 21, 2023.
