Paper With No Name

Freymond advised Puech to move his Hermès shares from France to Switzerland, as bearer shares.

Bearer shares are paper certificates with no owner's name on them. Whoever holds the paper holds the shares. That makes them easy to move.

Around the same time, one of the biggest names in luxury began quietly buying up Hermès. According to The Wall Street Journal's reporting, Freymond helped.

Years later, investigators followed many of Puech's shares to that same buyer.
