Warsaw, October 20, 1943.
Nine Nazi soldiers come for Irena. They take her to Pawiak prison, where she is tortured. Her feet and legs are broken.
They want the names of the children, and of the people who helped hide them. She gives them nothing.
She is sentenced to death.
