Lane Everett Begnaud was born on June 3, 2005. By the fall of 2018 he was an eighth-grader at Fatima, an avid video game player, and a boy whose favorite day of the year was Christmas.
In 2017, he was diagnosed with bone cancer.
For the next 18 months, the illness became part of the family's everyday life in Youngsville.
