The Plan Falls Apart

About 80 people set out: former teammates and the coach from that 2007 summer. The goal was the summit by 11 a.m. on August 24. The weather broke that plan. With the weather against them, the group could not keep to the schedule. They stopped and waited, hoping it would clear. In 2007, the whole club had given up this climb for one teammate. Now it was in doubt again.
