The Patient Who Said "Michelle"

The report concerned a patient at the psychiatric unit of Louisiana State University Medical Center. Her legal name was Anita Carter; she went by Cathy Woods. She had been 26 and tending bar in Reno when Michelle was killed, and had moved to Louisiana about a year later. Her mother had committed her to the hospital. There, Woods told a staff member she had killed a girl named Michelle in Reno.
