Nothing the Newspapers Hadn't Printed

Woods had a long psychiatric history, beginning with a hospitalization at age 11, and had been diagnosed with schizophrenia. She told detectives she worked for the FBI and that her mother was poisoning her. On the murder, detectives said she gave them information — but none of it went beyond what the media had already reported. She could not say where the missing keys or weapon were. A search of her mother's home found nothing. Police concluded she was the killer.
