“Nothing Out of the Ordinary”

The photos Sato took at home that day were meant for her blog. In one, Kabosu sits with her front paws crossed, glancing sideways at the lens with one brow raised, as if she has an opinion she is keeping to herself. Sato later said the day was nothing out of the ordinary. She posted the pictures. Kabosu was about four years old. It would take roughly three years for the rest of the world to catch up.
