London. October 10, 1972.
Ian Horne is a sound engineer working with Wings, the band McCartney formed after the Beatles.
That day, in the Notting Hill area of London, someone takes McCartney's old Höfner bass from the back of Horne's van.
McCartney told Horne not to worry about it, and the two kept working together for a while. But Horne has called that day “the worst moment of my life.”
