In 1928, Frank and Buddy returned to the United States. But arriving home wasn't the finish line — it was the start of a harder problem. Almost no one in America had ever seen a guide dog work. Telling people it was possible wouldn't be enough. Frank decided the only way to convince a skeptical public was to show them, in public, in the middle of one of the busiest cities in the country: New York.
