Learning to Move as One

Frank and Buddy trained together in Switzerland, learning to work as a single unit rather than two separate beings — a blind man and a dog. Buddy had to learn to read traffic, obstacles, and danger on Frank's behalf. Frank had to learn something harder: to stop relying on his own instincts and hand that judgment over to an animal. Neither skill came from a manual. Both had to be built, day by day, until neither one hesitated.
